The expressway along the Yangtze River banks, National road No. 204 (Yantai – qingdao – Yangzhou - Shanghai), National Road No. 312 (Shanghai-Yangzhou-Xinjiang) and National road No. 318 (Shanghai-Yangzhou-Tibet) connect all the big cities like Shanghai and Nanjing.

      Flight

      It takes one and a half hours to reach Nanjing Lukou International Airport and 3 hours to Shanghai Pudong Airport and Hongqiao Airport.

      Railway

      Yangzhou railway station has opened traffic starting from Yangzhou to Beijing, Shanghai, Wuhan and Xi’an.
                                                                             

      Harbor and waterline
      Harbor
      Located at the junction of the Yangtze River and the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, Yangzhou harbor is a national class-one open port. There are now 9 docks of ten thousand ton from where can cater to 50,000 ton ships. At present, nearly 30 shipment companies from home and abroad in the harbor have been doing the business of international container shipment such as Zhongyuan, Zhonghai, MAERSK、OOCL、HMM、EVG、CMA、ZIM、HJ、KL, etc. These container shipments of the companies make 30 times of stop in the harbor. They deliver the export containers to all corners of the five continents of the world according to the different requirements, timing and destinations. Also, Yangzhou harbor is an important transfer port in the middle and lower reaches of Yangtze River, northern Jiangsu and southern Shangdong and Eastern Anhui. The annual handling volume amounts to about 7 million tons. Yangzhou has 47 km coastal line fit for the port, among them 17 km already being developed and put into operation.
       Waterline
       Located at the junction of Yangtze River and Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, Yangzhou used to be the famous water transportation center. At present, there are 184 waterlines, extending 2163 km, among which graded waterline 819.2 km. Yangzhou reach of the Beijing –Hangzhou Grand Canal lasts 143.3 km and one thousand ton ships can go all the year round. To the north, it can reach Huai’an, Shuqian, Xuzhou of Jiangsu province, Jining, Liaocheng, Dezhou of Shandong provice and Changzhou of Hebei province as well as Tianjing and Beijing. To the south, it can reach Zhengjiang, Wuxi, Suzhou of Jiangsu province and Hangzhou of Zhejiang province.
