Yangzhou enjoys a high level accumulation in the automobile and spare parts industry and is the production base for the automobiles and spare parts designated by the Ministry of Science and Technology. The industrial group has taken its shape fundamentally. Up to now, there are over 200 automobile as well as spare parts makers with the annual output value reaching RMB 20 billion in the whole city. Among them, 15 enterprises are auto makers, taking the feature of the passage vehicle as the dragonhead and the commercial vehicles as the distinctive feature. The famous brand products are Rongwei sedan made by Shanghai automaker, Yaxing coach, Istana light vehicle, Tonghua special-use vehicle and JAC light vehicle, etc. The auto spare parts makers in Yangzhou enjoy high fame in the market and have strong capability in making the accessories and fittings. For instance, the diesel engine, piston ring, plastic oil tank, radiator, cylinder, auto air conditioner, metallurgical dust items and battery sell well in the market. Yangzhou is also rich in the human resources thanks to the fact that Yangzhou university has the automobile faculty and many secondary specialized technical schools train the intermediate specialists. In the meantime, the labor cost is low, only one fifth of the developed countries taking the coach as an example.                                              GIP has taken shape of the automobile and spare parts production base for such products as the vehicle-use hydraulic cylinder, radiator, sensor, safety bar, lamp, chair, wheel, hardware, ornament, fittings, special-use vehicle and light trucks.
